Research and Conservation

Throughout this, the Arksen Rally Series’ shortest rally, conservation opportunities will be available throughout with each vessel capable of contributing to ongoing research as they travel.

  • Team up with local fisheries to promote sustainable fishing
  • Protect the endangered monk seal by habitat mapping in Greece
  • Assist in turtle conservation in Turkey
  • Map ocean currents
  • Ghost nets – smaller vessels will search and geotag ghost nets and the larger vessels will assist in collection. Research can then be undertaken to discover where the nets were released and how this practice can be prevented

ATHENS

Experiences:

MALTA
