GOLDEN MONKEYS & NYUNGWE

Journey deeper into this high altitude jungle while learning about what initiatives are in place to protect primates here. On a visit to the tomb of Dian Fossey, lean about her ground-breaking conservation work with the mountain gorillas. See the imposing Mount Bioke volcano while you trek through the forest on the look out for forest hogs and listening for the sound of elephants pushing their way through the foliage.

Journey south to Nyungwe National Park—one of Africa’s oldest rainforests. Enter amid its towering ebonies, ancient mahoganies, and giant tree ferns at night for a guided chimpanzee trek, moving with them as they swing through the canopy.
