Your adventure begins where Thailand meets Laos and Myanmar to form the Golden Triangle in the north. It’s a melting pot of southeast cultures set in stunning jungle terrain. See the ruins of riverside Chiang Saen, a peaceful town that was once a Thai kingdom. It’s also the site of the largest Buddha statue in the country.

On to hidden gem Chiang Rai next with its elegant traditional architecture, gold-tipped temples, and laid-back way of life. Stop in at a coffee plantation and get a shot of the region’s thriving coffee culture.

From the jungles of the north to the islands of the south. Travel to Phuket, set in the coral-rich Andaman Sea, and discover its intricate island culture.

Pelorus will arrange a private visit to an elephant sanctuary where, with no one else around, you’ll spend hours in the company of the resident gentle giants. Watch them bathe and walk with them through the tropical surroundings. As the island experiences another of its astonishing sunsets, join a Michelin star chef in a cooking class before dining on the flavorsome results.

Next you’ll travel to the Surin Islands, often considered the jewels of the Andaman. Meet the Moken tribe—an ancient sea-faring community whose way of life has existed in this region for thousands of years.

Visit their village with an anthropologist guide. Explore their stilt-raised beach homes and intimate connection with nature before a picnic lunch accompanied by storytelling and song.

Join a Moken guide on a snorkeling tour exploring how the sea gypsies interpret the reefs while seeing sharks, sea turtles, and manta rays. Learn how to free dive and spearfish. Finally, return to the land and forage for various plants and trees that the Moken use in their lives.

Transfer by helicopter to Namtok Ngao National Park on the mainland. Hike the jungle with a wildlife expert, on the lookout for leopards, elephants, and tapirs. After your many thrilling encounters, arrive at a stunning waterfall before a bath in secluded hot springs.

Phang Nga Bay is a stunning expanse of emerald sea bristling with vertical karst islands and islets. You’ll journey by helicopter to a date with a famous boxing champion who, in the surrounds of a traditional Thai retreat, will teach you the art of Thai boxing. Afterward, relax with a delicious Thai meal while watching an exclusive boxing match between two professional fighters, with music provided by a Thai folk band.

See the village of Panyee hovering over the water on stilts. You’ll explore its atmospheric maze of streets amid the mingling smells of spicy Thai street food and salty sea air, before discovering the hot springs, rivers, and waterfalls nearby. Swim, paddle, or kayak among the islands, discovering sea caves that become tunnels leading to sunlit lagoons enclosed by limestone cliffs.

On a traditional long-tail boat, you’ll speed south to Si Kao in search of endangered dugongs. You’ll join a conservation experience with sustainability manager Mark Isenstadt, arranged by Pelorus, who will deliver insights into the dugongs’ behavior, the seagrass beds that sustain them, and what is being done to preserve the population. The local community has played a significant part in the initiative, and you’ll visit the village before delicious refreshments at the scenic Point Dugongs.
