Lyndie Reiche

Product Manager

Zimbabwean born and now living in the UK, Lyndie has spent the last 10 years in the Travel and Hospitality Industry. It all began with her love for the African bush which started at a young age, visiting the Zambezi Valley and Lake Kariba with her family on holidays.

On completing her studies in health & wellness, Lyndie soon realised her passion was elsewhere and began pursuing her career in hospitality. Lyndie couldn’t have asked for a better match when she met her now husband Craig, a Game Ranger, and this started their 8-year career managing luxury safari lodges in both South Africa and Zambia. This time allowed Lyndie to explore all over Southern Africa, discovering some hidden gems and experiencing so many wonderful cultures.

After leaving ‘bush life’, Lyndie’s enthusiasm for travel and planning led her to become a Product Manager for a luxury travel company when making the move back to Cape Town. A few years down the line, and now living in the UK, Lyndie has stayed with her passion and has joined the Pelorus Team as our new Product Manager.

Number one unforgettable travel experience?

It is difficult to narrow this down to one experience, but I feel so fortunate to have lived in a remote camp deep in the South Luangwa National Park in Zambia. We built this camp from scratch every year, after the rains, and seeing how nature can easily reclaim an area in just a few months is very humbling. Being there before any guests, one was able to truly explore an untouched area.

Easily some of the best years of my life, waking up to the sounds of the African bush and endless streams of wild animals outside my front door. Also being able to spend time with and get to know the people of Zambia, who are so welcoming and friendly, and extremely proud of their country.

Top of your travel bucket list?

The Galapagos has always been very high on my list, as well as the Pantanal, more from a wildlife and ecological perspective but more recently I have become intrigued by Bhutan. I would love to go and learn more about the culture and people of Bhutan.

Who is your ultimate travel partner?

I have been very lucky to have had a great travel partner for the last 12 years! I think I will be sticking with my husband, Craig.
