Alexandra’s passion for exploring the world started at a young age and became even more profound after stints in Kenya and South and Central America. With over 10 years’ experience in the travel industry, she most recently headed up the Partnerships Team in the Americas for a curated boutique hotel collection. She has continued to travel to all four corners of the world and has recently returned to the UK after living in Los Angeles and Mexico for a number of years.

Number one unforgettable travel experience?

Chartering a yacht and sailing down the Belizean coast. Days were spent on out on the water escorted by playful dolphins, stopping to snorkel over reefs of mesmerising marine life. Lunches of zesty ceviche were freshly caught, while dinner of lobster cooked over a campfire were washed down with rum punch. We camped on tiny specks of land under towering palm trees and were lulled to sleep by the soothing sounds of the Caribbean Sea.

Top of your travel bucket list?

Impossible to pick one… but gorilla trekking in Rwanda has been a dream since I was a child and so has retracing my grandparents’ lives in India. However, my next adventure will be a surf trip to visit friends on Siargao Island in the Philippines.

Who is your ultimate travel partner?

Maya Gabeira, the big wave surfer. She has overcome so much throughout her career to reach the pinnacle of her sport and hold world records that it would be extraordinary to tap in to her wisdom and mindset. That, and I would have one of the all time greats pushing me to be fearless in the water and to surf my heart out.
