ATHENS
Your luxury yacht odyssey begins in Athens where, having been met and greeted, you’ll be escorted to your vessel. Discover the antique city’s maze of streets studded with designer boutiques.
With the sunrise, you’ll join your Pelorus guide for a visit to the Acropolis. You’ll spend the day at the Temple of Athena, learning about the many twists and turns of Greek history. Afterward, you’ll relax in the shade of bitter orange trees, people-watching as you have lunch at one of Athen’s finest fish restaurants. You’ll return to your yacht to begin your island hopping adventure.
THE CYCLADES ISLANDS
You’ll awake to the sight of Kea—the first of the Cyclades on your itinerary. Enjoy the view of this verdant ‘Island of the Water Nymphs’ as you have breakfast on the aft deck. This island is renowned for its wreck dives which include German Junkers WW2 aircraft and Titanic’s twin sister.
Alternatively, discover the Koundouros reef teeming with iridescent fish, heading below the water in a submarine or by scuba diving. For something more relaxed, snorkel the translucent sea ahead of cocktails at sunset as you cruise to Paros or the ‘Island of Marble’.
After arriving on shore and meeting your Pelorus guide, ride horseback across this gorgeous island until you arrive at a quiet beach for a swim in the ocean with your horses. Have a picnic in the Valley of Butterflies, as the namesake insects flutter around you.
If you’re after more adventure, travel by yacht to the bay of the Drionissi islets. In this uninhabited bay, you can dive the Drionissi canyon, spot antique remains among turtles and flashing barracuda, or learn to spearfish. If you choose the latter, bring your catch back to your chef’s open fire for a delicious fresh fish meal cooked to perfection.
You’ll cruise through the morning until the ‘Island of the Deep Blue’ comes into view. Secluded Amorgos is an off-the-beaten-track treasure with its waters full of stunning dive sites brightened by reefs and home to stingrays, tuna, and Mediterranean monk seals.
See Chora and explore its quintessentially Grecian whitewashed streets bright with bougainvillea. You’ll then uncover an intriguing part of the island’s history with an out-of-the-ordinary dive amid its once thriving mines in the east. By evening, you’ll be back on your yacht enjoying sundowners on deck.
