INTO THE JUNGLE
You’ll fly hundred of miles by light aircraft, skirting above an undulating carpet of jungle riven by gleaming rivers. Upon arrival at a Makushi Amerindian village, you’ll be briefed and issued with kit, before practicing several key skills: making a fire from natural materials, using a bow and arrow, and fishing.
That night you’ll sleep in a hammock strung in the canopy of a towering ceiba tree, overlooking stunning natural vistas and falling asleep to the sounds of the jungle.
Come morning, and you’ll be inserted into deep jungle from a rope dangling from a helicopter in true military style. Here, in the Pakaraima Mountains, you’ll begin your survival training with an ex-Special Forces Survival Instructor from the UK alongside hunters from the Amerindian Makushi tribe.
Equipped with everything you need to know to survive (and monitored throughout by staff), you’ll spend the next two days alone or in pairs in a simulation of a survival situation. With just your belt kit between you and simulated disaster, you’ll apply your new skills to the business of jungle survival.
As your experience concludes, you’ll be extracted by helicopters and a local rescue team who will transfer you back to the civilization.
