Venture into the Great Bear Rainforest, accompanied by experienced guides and naturalists explaining the local ecology, to see how this unique ecosystem combines oceans, rivers, and rugged rock. Learn how to track grizzly bears, looking for bite marks on trees and tracks where bears dig out the forest floor for their naps.

SEAPLANE TO NIMMO BAY

Depart Tweedsmuir to connect with your private seaplane flight to Nimmo Bay. At the base of the 5,000-foot Mount Stephens, the bay is encompassed by the vast wilderness of the Great Bear Rainforest. It’s characterized by glacier-cut fjords, 1000-year-old cedars, and waterfalls cascading from moss-coated mountainsides. Hike the undulating shoreline, your route weaving between forest and beach.

Breath in the wild scent of its bark and saline sea air, its peacefulness washing over you. Home to the elusive cream-colored Kermode bear, grey wolves, grizzly and black bears, Sitka deer, cougars, mountain goats, salmon, and sea otters this is a land of abundant possibilities for a top tier wildlife experience.

WHALE WATCHING BY KAYAK

Continue your waterborne adventures with a whale-watching experience. Located on the thriving waters of the Broughton Archipelago, you will be accompanied by an expert guide who has a profound knowledge of and connection to the whales in the area.

Watch the acrobatics of the Humpback Whale as these ocean giants breach mere meters from your boat. Keep your eyes peeled for the tall dorsal fins of the majestic orca, playful sea lions, or bear cubs learning to forage the rocky shoreline.
