BACK-TO-BACK GRANDS PRIX YACHT CHARTER

Begin your year in the Middle East with an incredible double: the first ever back-to-back Grand Prix weekends in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

When to go
19 March 2022 – 27 March 2022

The 2022 season begins in Bahrain, the region’s leading country for Formula1 racing. The Bahrain International Circuit offers a daring desert race experience in the sands of the Sakhir and is also one of the few races on the circuit that’s floodlit, raising the stakes and adding to the drama.

Synonymous with the highest level of global motorsport, the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix is an electrifying 50-lap frenzy on the Formula1 circuit. Recently added to the circuit, the Jeddah Corniche Circuit is located beside the Red Sea in the ancient Saudi Arabian city of Jeddah. Called the ‘Temple of Speed’, this is the fastest street circuit ever seen in the sport and a must for your Formula1 bucket list.

With Pelorus, your Grand Prix experience at this incredible double can be enhanced with a package perfect for a die-hard Formula1 fan. Think meet and greets with track icons, a driving tour of the track, exclusive pit lane walks, and the chance to pose for photos with the championship trophy.

Take in all of the twists and turns of these compelling races while also exploring the ancient cities of this region and the Red Sea on an ultimate Pelorus-hosted charter experience. Your adventure begins in Bahrain for the iconic desert duel. Once the chequered flags fly on Sunday, you’ll journey to the AlUla region in Saudia Arabia with its UNESCO-listed Hegra and astonishing desert landscape.

Travel to the coast next to join your luxury yacht on the Red Sea. You’ll set a course for Jeddah and the second Grand Prix, arriving after five days of cruising and exploring this historic region. The itinerary will be tailored to your desires, but find below an inspiration deck sketched out by our Middle Eastern region expert insiders.

ALULA

The AlUla region is a desert crossroads of ancient civilizations, an oasis of heritage amid striking rock formations. Pelorus can guide you through this open-air museum of carved temples and preserved tombs and, for those seeking adventure, can supply multiple perspectives on these treasures to deliver a pulse-racing connection.

Travel out at sunset to Elephant Rock. While at this wind-sculpted icon, there’s an opportunity to witness a falconry display—a piece of traditional Bedouin culture. Fly over AlUla from above in a private helicopter spotting the biodiverse oasis amid the rugged rock. Hike through cavernous valleys and discover extinct desert volcanoes.

Race down mountains in gravity carts—newly developed vehicles that allow you to off-road without damaging the local environment. Take buggies or ATVs over the desert dunes, or relax in a vintage Land Rover while exploring the landscape. Take electric bikes through the ancient city for a more intimate experience with history and the rugged rock formations.

Have an exclusive dining experience beneath the glittering desert stars with the company of an expert astrologer. Have your trip culminate in the desert canyon of the Ashar Valley where you’ll find Maraya—the world’s largest mirrored building.

ALONG THE RED SEA

One of the underwater world’s seven wonders, the Red Sea is a bucket-list destination for scuba divers and snorkelers from all countries, of all experience levels. With one of the world’s highest salinity rates, the Red Sea offers remarkable visibility all year around. Discover its teeming coral reefs, manatees, and antique shipwrecks. Encounter manta rays and shark species off of the island of Daedalus before taking in the island flow with local yogi masters or relaxing onboard with sundowners prepared by your crew.

JEDDAH

Awake having arrived in Jeddah—Saudi Arabia’s ancient port and cosmopolitan hub. Try some thrilling kitesurfing before discovering the city on foot.

One of Jeddah’s most magical experiences is a private rooftop outing at the majestic Naseef House. The Saudi Arabian king’s old residence, Pelorus can secure you exclusive permissions to access it. While touring, have your breath taken away when you’re encircled by sound at the ‘Adhan’ call to prayer at sunset.

Known as the ‘Art Capital of Saudi Arabia’, explore Jeddah’s art scene with private tours of the city’s incredible galleries and personal introductions to local artists. Galleries and museums to visit include the Open-Air Sculpture Museum, the Al Tayebat City Museum, and the Matbouli House Museum. Travel 90 minutes to the north and you’ll reach the King Abdullah Economic City or ‘KAEC’. This impressive urban oasis offers a world-class golf course, a marina with boat trips, and luxury hotels.

When you’re ready, head to the Jeddah Corniche Circuit for the 50-lap frenzy of the first round of the 2022 Grand Prix. After this stunning finale to a week of desert exploration, Red Sea cruising, and pulse-racing adventure, travel home with a stash of unforgettable memories.
