REINE & VAEROY
Meet your yacht in Leknes before cruising past dramatic coastal scenery en route to Hamnoy and Reine. Voted one of the world’s most beautiful spots, Reine is a gorgeous fishing village of primary colors and stilt houses set against a backdrop of glowering peaks.
Take the afternoon kayaking, sailing, or paddleboarding the Reinefjorden. Refuel with an alfresco dinner, prepared by your yacht’s chef, on Bunes—one of Norway’s most stunning and hard-to-reach beaches. Following dinner, hike Reinebringen for incredible panoramas of the islands and the ocean.
Drop anchor off of Vaeroy—an ornithological paradise offering quiet beaches, sheer sea cliffs, and a charming town. See its avian population as you ride a mountain bike to the island’s most southerly point. From here, hike up stunning Nordlandsnupen mountain.
Accompanied by a Pelorus surf guide, take your yacht’s tender and surf some of the Arctic Circle’s best waves at Flakstad or Unstad. If you prefer, kite surf, paddleboard, or jet ski instead around Stamsund, setting off from your yacht’s swim platform.
DIVE WRECKS & SEA EAGLES
Navigate next to Henningsvaer. Nearly 150ft beneath the navy chop of the waves lies the 1958 wreck of M/S Hadsel, one of a number of superb dive sites found here.
Chopper ashore for glacier kayaking on Svartisen glacier. Catch your breath as you lunch on the ice drinking in the incredible views, before an afternoon of ice climbing or hiking.
At Svolvaer, you’ll team up with a specialized naturalist on a sea eagle-spotting expedition. Discover the lives of these protected birds as you watch them from your tender as they dive for their catch. Call on the eagle spirit later when you climb Mount Svolvaergeita, leaping between high-altitude rock formations under the tutelage of your instructors and guides.
