Yacht Experiences

See the Amalfi Coast, Naples, and Sicily on an unforgettable yachting honeymoon

Discover Naples, Syracuse, and more as you tour some of Italy’s most scenic sites by yacht. You’ll taste limoncello, navigate a submersible among undersea volcanoes, and dance barefoot in the sand. Split between Campania and Sicily, this will be a honeymoon that lingers long in the memory.

When to go:
March – May, September – October

NAPLES & POMPEII

Your sun-soaked honeymoon in Italy begins in Naples. After being met by your captain and introduced to your vessel, you’ll tour the vibrant, historic streets of Naples. Linger in its boutiques and sip macchiatos on sidestreet cafes. As the sun begins to set behind Ischia island, taste the finest of the city’s renowned pizza before returning to your yacht for an overnight cruise into more secluded waters.

A visit to Pompeii is a must when visiting Campania, and an expert archaeologist guide will take you around its incredibly well-preserved streets. Enjoy a delicious picnic lunch in Pompeii as you learn about the devastating eruption, its Roman history, and the site’s numerous excavations.

Following lunch, you’ll explore Herculaneum. This coastal town shared its neighbor’s fate in AD79, and remarkably it’s even better preserved than Pompeii (if significantly smaller). After studying its mosaic floors and ancient furniture, bestride a Vespa and zip along one of Italy’s most scenic roads with your partner.

LIMONCELLO & VILLA CIMBRONE

Journey into the hills above Ravello and Amalfi for a visit to a lemon producer. You’ll pick ripe lemons and tour the grounds before resting in the shade of the aromatic groves while sipping cool lemonade and nibbling lemon cake. Afterward, enjoy a private tasting of limoncello after a tour of the factory.

Following a romantic lunch, discover Ravello’s winding lanes before a visit to the 11th-century Villa Cimbrone Gardens. One of the Amalfi coast’s most beautiful spots, you’ll take a guided tour of the gardens, taking in the sculptures and the shady crypt to escape the midday sun. The evening will be spent on the deck of your yacht, eating a delicious dinner and contemplating the beauty of the Italian coastline at dusk.

PAESTUM & SUBMERSIBLE

Your next adventure will see you collected from the port before snaking along winding roads to a mozzarella farm buried in gorgeous countryside. After a tour, you’ll taste the unbelievably fresh and light organic mozzarella.

You’ll be transferred to the Archaeological Area of Paestum. A world-renowned archaeologist will take you on a tour of what are considered the finest examples of Doric Temples standing today.

Have a restorative lunch at a nearby restaurant before filling out your visits to Pompeii and Herculaneum with a guided visit to the National Archaeological Museum. Return to your yacht for an overnight cruise to the Eolian Islands.

Make it an adventure moon with an exclusive, once-in-a-lifetime underwater opportunity from Pelorus. Climb into a submersible with your other half and journey into the deep to locate the bluntnose sixgill shark. You’ll look for this unstudied shark species among the ridges of underwater volcanoes while enjoying the drama of the underwater world in comfort.

EOLIAN ISLANDS & TAORMINA

Found 12 miles off of Sicily is the volcanic Eolian Archipelago. These seven islands inspired many of the tales from Greek mythology, and you’ll discover their true nature via mountain biking, swimming in the translucent water, and touring their craggy coastlines by yacht.

Dock in Lipari Harbor as the sun sets to discover the city’s lively nightlife. Dance barefoot and dine in alleyway restaurants before returning to your vessel at the end of the evening.

A brisk morning sail will land you in Sicily where you’ll be transported to the stunning town of Taormina. With astonishing views over Mount Etna and the Bay of Naxos, you’ll explore its orange-scented streets and cannoli sellers before a remote picnic lunch with your other half high in the hills.

Even better views are provided at the medieval Castelmola nearby. Take a guided tour around this former fortress and its ruined castle before stepping out of the sun into a bar where you’ll both sample the famous “Elixir of Love”. Spend the afternoon swimming and snorkeling, or indulging in your yacht’s many water toys.

SYRACUSE & BEACHES

Arrive at ancient Syracuse for a tour of this beautiful Sicilian city. You’ll see Roman and Greek ruins—including the sinister Ear of Dionysus—before a delicious lunch in the town.

Head south to the gorgeous horseshoe-shaped beach of Arenella. Discover its dramatic coastline on paddleboards, kayak, or with a simple snorkel.

On to some of Sicily’s most remote and beautiful beaches. Vendicari is a nature reserve offering dunes, lagoons, and stunning sandy beaches. After a secluded hike spotting the colorful bird life, you’ll discover the local tradition of tuna fishing.

Another tradition in Sicily is wine production, and you’ll travel to a winery for a romantic stroll among the vines. Enjoy a tasting afterward of some of the region’s most notable varieties paired with Sicilian delicacies. You’ll travel north to arrive at Catania from where your stunning Italian honeymoon will conclude.
