On Sri Lanka’s elemental and beautiful south coast, Wild Coast Tented Lodge is a luxurious hybrid of safari camp and five-star resort. The tented suites straddle sci-fi and the classical, within their experimental architecture filled with old-world touches like the copper bathtub and leather chairs.
The safari vibe is connected to the resort’s proximity to the wetlands and bush of Yala National Park—one of the country’s best places for seeing leopards, elephants, hawk-eagles, and more. Ensuring that you’re on safari even when you’re actually just relaxing on your private veranda with coconut ice cream, the resort has stationed a few watering holes around the property to bring the wildlife to you.
