Chedi Muscat Long Pool

The Chedi is a 12-acre complex of exquisitely manicured architecture and gardens located in the capital city of Muscat on Oman’s north coast. The resort faces out onto an equally well-groomed sandy beach that slides gently beneath opal blue shallows.

The views from its 158 rooms take in the hotel’s Moorish water garden, the Gulf of Oman, or the striking Hajar Mountains. Your stay will be one of terrazzo sunken bathtubs, private balconies (or terraces), and contemporary furniture ensconced in neutral tones and dark wood details. Enjoy VIP access to the club lounge and its lavish champagne and cocktail brunches by checking into one of the deluxe club rooms, club terrace rooms, or club suites.

Six restaurants and two lounges offer wonderful gastronomic globetrotting. The vibe runs the gamut from the baroque Restaurant with its tinkling piano and nightly open-kitchen fine dining spectaculars to the more laid-back tuna carpaccio and lobster of the surfside Beach Restaurant.

This pioneering beach hotel was Oman’s first contemporary resort when it opened in 2003. While competition has sprung up since then, its timeless architectural style and outstanding location ensure that it still stands alone.

Besides being the proud owner of the region’s longest swimming pool with an infinity edge overlooking the Gulf of Oman, the hotel also has Muscat’s largest health center and spa on-site (with a focus on aromatherapy, Ayurveda and herbalism).
