Saudi Arabia Habitas Al Ula Hero Image

LOCATION

In the culture-rich AlUla region of Saudi Arabia, Habitas AlUla has pitched its tents amid the eye-catching contours of Hegra.

The 96 rooms, each 3D printed and shipped to AlUla to allow Habitas to minimize and control its ecological impact, are calm spaces of earth tones and textiles that root the space in its locale.

Floor-to-ceiling windows predominate, and the bathroom comes equipped with outdoor showers enclosed within date-palm thatch. E-bikes with every room help you get around the resort’s infinity pool, wellness center, lounge tent, and al fresco cinema (although a buggy can be summoned if you’d prefer).

WHAT MAKES THIS HOTEL UNIQUE?

Its proximity to the UNESCO-protected Hegra tombs of the pre-Islamic Nabatean civilization makes it incredibly convenient for unearthing the best of AlUla’s cultural treasures.

The resort is also underscored by a philosophy of shared ‘rituals’. These include sunset ceremonies and a ‘sound sensorama’ intended to enhance the shared human connection between guests at Habitas.

Other activities here range from traditional Saudi music concerts, lectures on AlUla’s history, and horseback tours of the astounding archaeological sites.
