Surrounded by the fresh mountain air of the Tarentaise Valley, Chalet Hibou is peacefully perched high above the tiny French farming village of Le Miroir.

It’s a quintessential alpine chalet that combines the rustic charm of a mountain hut with classical French luxury. Stone chimneys take center stage in many of the rooms, allowing for the warm glow of a wood burner or the flickering light of an open fire.

Alcoves are piled high with logs, wool blankets, and sheepskin rugs creating a cozy, homely atmosphere. Take in the panoramic mountain views, glass of Champagne in hand, while you soothe your tired muscles in the steaming hot tub. As the perfect end to the perfect day, treat yourself to a massage in the onsite spa facilities.

Its location means incredibly easy access to the Three Valleys and its vast network of pistes. You’ll awake to the clanging of church bells and take in a lungful of crisp mountain air as you prepare for another epic day.

This being France, there are high standards around the cuisine. You’ll dine on gourmet meals in a rustic dining room, taking in the scenery of the Tarentaise Valley through the windows.  You’ll in the sweet alcoholic scent of white wine and cheese fondue, as well as enjoy other ski menu mainstays.

This is also a chalet with a conscience. Its owners have developed on-the-ground sustainability initiatives and supported local communities through direct charitable activities such as clean-up efforts and environmental outreach and education.
