LOCATION
Nestled between a private beach and a freshwater lagoon, Anantara Al Baleed Resort Salalah is located in the southern province of Dhofar known for its tropical fruit plantations, ancient frankincense trail, World Heritage sites and beautiful mountains and deserts. Fancy seeing the sights? It’s easy to venture to nearby archaeological ruins, forts and fishing villages. Or, journey further afield into the mysterious Empty Quarter desert.
The resort is a homage to Oman’s rich heritage, celebrating everything Arabian (think towering palm trees, tropical gardens and flowing water features inspired by Salalah’s famed castles, artistry and coastlines).
The exterior is elegantly whitewashed and contrasts with the black interiors, with infinity pools and villas linked by a path of banana and coconut trees. A total of 96 villas (each with a private pool) and 40 rooms are elegantly finished in a natural décor with dark wood furnishings and traditional rich-colored fabrics.
