Aman Tokyo

Tokyo, Japan

Overview

From the heights of the Otemachi Tower, Aman Tokyo blends urban dynamism with serenity. Inspired by Japanese design tradition, it offers the city’s largest spa as well as one of the widest selections of dining venues around.

Key Features

  • Boasting some of the largest accommodation in Tokyo, the rooms take influence from Japan’s centuries-old pared back design with traditional Tatami and organic wood finishing.
  • Home to one of the largest, most comprehensive spas in the city, Aman Tokyo serves as a luxurious retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city.
  • Set in the heart of Tokyo’s business district and a short walk from the Imperial Palace gardens, the property is ideally situated for exploring the city.

Design

Spanning the top six floors of a 38-storey skyscraper in the business district Otemachi, Aman Tokyo is as serene as you would expect from the brand and boasts panoramic city views. Just a short drive from the airport and nearby the train station (great if you’re getting a bullet train to elsewhere in Japan), as well as close to major shopping areas, it’s the perfect base to explore the city from.

The hotel’s rooms and suites are lofty urban sanctuaries drawing design inspiration from traditional Japanese residences (think wood, washi paper and stone). With a total of 84, they are the largest rooms in the city and are all bright, airy and spacious. From your abode high above the city, enjoy magnificent views of the Imperial Palace Gardens and Mount Fuji on the horizon on clear days.

Cuisine

Aman Toyko is home to one of the widest selections of dining venues found in any of the city’s hotels. Showcasing culinary traditions from around the world, you can expect Italian family-style dishes at Arva, a French bistro-style menu at The Café, and fresh sushi and sashimi served in the authentic Japanese omakase dining tradition.

Why we love it

This is the ultimate luxury city break. Perfectly positioned to explore the city, unwind after a day exploring at the tranquil spa (the biggest in Tokyo). Spanning two floors, the spa is a sun-drenched enclave that embraces a philosophy of balance and harmony with nature. There’s a Japanese onsen-style stone bath boasting urban views across the city, a sleek 30-metre pool and eight treatment rooms.
